AMTC BANGKOK INVITES SEAFARERS FOR DYNAMIC POSITIONING SIMULTAOR COURSE
(D.P. Maintenance Certificate)
This course provides an introduction to dynamic positioning concepts, operations and equipment. This Course would be appropriate for Electrical/electronic engineers and maintenance personnel onboard who are responsible for the periodic maintenance.
Provide the participants with knowledge and practical use of dynamic positioning in order to enable him:
After successful completion of the course candidates will receive a Dynamic Positioning Familiarization Certificate of Attendance. And the D.P.Certificate of Maintenance
This course is intended to provide introductory training on the theory and practice of Dynamic Positioning that fulfils the requirements of Level 2 of the DNV DPO Course which follows the recommendations contained in the IMO and the IMCA guidelines.
Provide the participants with knowledge and practical use of dynamic positioning in order to enable him to:operate DP systems to the standards and guidelines specified by international regulatory authorities and recognised by institutions in the industry set up and operate various DP systems recognise alarms and warnings understand the use and limitations of position reference systems and other sensors and systems interfaced to the DP
A DP Log Book will be issued to participants who successfully complete the course and meet the assessment criteria and the Basic Dynamic Positioning course Certificate will be issued.
Target Audience
Personnel intending to become DP Operators and who have completed both the DP Induction course and the DNV requirement for 30 days supervised DP watch keeping.
Course Aims
To provide simulated training in the practice of Dynamic Positioning that complements a delegate’s sea going experience and the preceding induction course with simulated exercises including faults, errors and failures. The course is designed to meet the needs of the marine and offshore industries and is accredited by the DNV DPO Training Scheme.

Special Requirements
Entry to this course as part of the DNV scheme requires delegates to have completed at least 30 days supervised watch keeping and to have attended a recognized DP induction course.
